About Me

Hi! My name is Colin and my pronouns are he/him.

I am an early-career academic librarian focused on collections management, open education, and sustainable access to scholarly resources. My professional experience has been shaped working within collaborative academic library environments, where I see thoughtful stewardship of collections, strong systems knowledge, and collegial partnership as essential to contemporary academic librarianship.
At Acadia University, I have engaged in collection lifecycle review, course reserves strategy, open educational resource integration, resource sharing, and workflow development during complex system changes. These experiences have reinforced my belief that effective collections work requires not only fiscal responsibility and data-informed decision making, but also meaningful consultation with faculty and a willingness to respond to evolving student needs.
I approach librarianship as both strategic and relational work — involving balancing budgets and licenses while fostering access, diversity, equity and inclusion with long-term sustainability of collections and services. My career goal is to contribute to academic library communities that value collaboration, collegiality, and the continued stewardship of knowledge.
